Neutering & Laparoscopic Surgery

Neutering is an important part of caring for your pet’s long-term health. Alongside preventing unwanted litters, it can reduce the risk of certain illnesses and help manage behavioural concerns — allowing your pet to enjoy a healthier, more comfortable life.

At Virtue Vets, your pet’s safety and wellbeing guide every step of the process. Our veterinary team uses modern surgical techniques and continuous monitoring to ensure a calm, smooth and carefully managed procedure. Before surgery, we take the time to talk through everything with you, considering your pet’s breed, age, behaviour and overall health. This personalised approach helps you make the choice that feels right for your pet’s future.

Advanced Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Neutering

Laparoscopic (Keyhole / Minimally Invasive) Surgery

Laparoscopic (Keyhole or Minimally Invasive) Surgery

We are proud to offer laparoscopic neutering — a minimally invasive technique that uses tiny incisions and a specialised camera to perform the surgery with exceptional precision. Because the procedure causes far less tissue trauma than traditional open surgery, pets experience:

  • Reduced pain

  • Smaller scars

  • Faster recovery

  • A quicker return to normal activities

In addition to routine neutering, our surgeons can also perform laparoscopic procedures for conditions such as cryptorchidism (retained testicles) and ovarian remnant syndrome.

Unlike many clinics, we do not impose a weight limit for keyhole surgery. Our experienced surgical team is skilled in carrying out these advanced procedures safely in both cats and dogs of all sizes.
