Caring for Your Cat: Our Purr-sonalised Service

Cats are mysterious, confident, and endlessly lovable, but they also need regular vet visits to stay happy and healthy. At Virtue Vets, we offer feline-friendly services tailored to meet their needs, from routine check-ups to complex concerns.

Our services include:

  • Routine Consultations – we recommend bi-annual consultations, a “whole-cat MOT”. These stoic creatures may appear fine, but a detailed check can reveal hidden discomfort. We regularly monitor their weight, behavioural changes, diets, grooming coat quality, and nail clipping. This helps maintain their comfort and wellbeing.

  • Vaccinations & Preventative Care – including kitten vaccinations and boosters for protection against common feline diseases.

  • Annual Dental Care – we offer advice, teeth cleaning under general anaesthetic, probing, charting and X-rays, to help prevent gum disease and detect tooth problems early. Toothaches in companion animals are almost always missed and overseen.

  • Nutrition Advice – personalised and individually tailored feeding plans and supplement advice for kittens, adults, or senior cats when needed.

  • Parasite Control – prevention and treatment for internal and external parasites, including fleas, ticks, mange and worms.

  • Chronic Disease Management – support for conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism or asthma.

  • Surgical Treatments – cat spays, neutering, bite-wound management and lump removals, as well as specialised procedures (cystotomy, enterotomy, and various soft tissue interventions, as well as orthopaedics)

  • Laparoscopic/Minimally Invasive Surgery – keyhole surgery for faster recovery and less pain.

  • Bronchoscopy - for cases of chronic cough and more complicated respiratory diseases.

  • Internal Medicine – diagnosing and treating complex illnesses in cats.

  • Second Opinions & Referrals – offering expert advice for complicated or ongoing issues.
